A Lost Fashion Christmas
I thought I would spend the winter hibernating but I’m back after a brief hiatus with a very Christmassy tour in association with the Merrion Square Network, for their annual Christmas on the Square event. I love this event not only because of its a beautiful location and chance to snoop inside buildings not normally open to the public but because it attracts amazing creatives and foodies who fill the glorious Georgian houses of Merrion Square with fabulous things to eat, drink and gift. This Saturday the 28th of November I will be joining the line-up of talks and tours on the square for the second year running to do my Lost Fashion History of Merrion Square Tour, where I will bring everyone on a walking tour of the square to follow the footsteps of the fashionable residents who cut a dash across the square over the centuries.
The tour will start and finish in Number 63, now being dubbed The Fashion House on the square because of the amazing Irish fashion designers who will be setting up mini boutiques in the townhouse on the day. I’ll be doing a Lost Tour at 11.30pm and 1.30pm. Tickets are free and have been pretty much been all snapped up but I have it on good authority that there are 2 left, so don’t delay get yours on Eventbrite here. There is also a waiting list on Eventbrite and in Number 63 on the day.
To find our more about all the amazing events happening this Saturday on Christmas on the Square see the website and Facebook page here and here.
Look forward to seeing you Saturday!
My talk is part of a series of free events happening inside the houses of Merrion Square as part of Christmas on the Square. This event is organised by The Merrion Square Innovation Network, a voluntary group of representatives from the cultural institutions in and around the Square enabled by Fáilte Ireland whose aim is to celebrate and promote Merrion Square as a cultural and tourism destination.
