Rua Ruth loves…

Darling buds in St. Stephens Green park this afteroon.

It’s been an inspiring week, spring has hit Dublin and blossoms are on the wing, here’s what I am loving along with brighter days and budding flowers…

I was at Offset this weekend and truly inspired by the imaginary world of Annie Atkins I  was mesmerised by her presentation about how she produced the charmingly kooky graphics for The Grand Budapest Hotel, see a fun interview with her here.

I adore how creative women were in the 1940s and how they made fashion on a ration so glamorous. I hope  to get across the water to this amazing exhibit in the Imperial War Museum in London as soon as I can. Thanks to Tara Breathnach for letting me in on the forties fashion secret.

Fascinated to read this story by Jonathon de Burca Butler that Audrey Hepburn’s father lived in my very own neighbourhood in Dublin 4.

A new exhibition opening this week in Dublin is Resonate in the Gallery of Photography in Temple Bar, a fashion photography exhibition from an Irish photographic perspective taking into account the diversity and beauty of Irish fashion collections, textiles, locations, landscape, culture, models and climate.

A delicious recipe I would love to try- Chocolate & Cardamom cookies from  the lovely blog Magda’s Cauldron.
