Ruaruth loves…
Here’s a brew of things I am loving this week for you to enjoy while sipping your cuppa this Saturday morning….
I’m signing up for some of the amazing lectures in the Little Museum of Dublin for 2015. There’s a smorgasbord of topics from Women in medieval Dublin, How Ulysees can Change your Life and Dublin Spies, nothing like a little espionage eh? Book them here, they make cool Christmas gifts too.
Dublin Book Festival is coming up next week, I am looking forward to lunchtime readings, a talk on writing historical fiction in Smock Alley Theatre and a tour of Victorian Dublin check out the programme here.
Talking of tea, I just discovered this beautiful Oolong Tea-Room, on Stephen’s Street just around the corner from fashionable Drury Street its still a bit of a best kept secret and a lovely hide-away on a rainy day, the Irish Design Shop did a fabulous write up on it here.
Thinking of fun things to do for Christmas or New Years Eve? I’ve been surfing the Irish Landmark Trust website, falling for these, a Lighthouse and a Gate Lodge getaway!
A very interesting fashion exhibition is opening in Kilkenny this week- Second Skin, making a journey to this lovely city to see this. The Fairy-tales in stitch event looks magic.
