Rua Ruth Loves

The Royal ‘R’ in the National Print Museum, Dublin.

Hello Saturday! Hope you are relaxing somewhere with a cuppa in hand. Here’s this week’s selection of inspiring things to browse, plan and do.

Anyone who had a childhood love of The Secret Garden (as I did) will be interested in this lovely festival in Sligo, perfect for a snoop in your neighbours garden and a great way to see the garden of Eden people have built for themselves.

I adore the Mexican style of Frida Kahlo, all those flowers in her hair and bright colours and this incredible series of photos by Japanese photographer Ishiuchi Miyako brings us even closer to the artist and the way she wore clothes.

I have always loved journaling and this e-course by Susannah Conway sounds like a lovely way of getting back in the swing.

The National Print Museum in Dublin have some amazing courses on over the summer, and if you do happen to pop-by there is also a super cute cafe called Press hidden in the back and a stationery shop selling lovely Irish bound books. I think this origami jewellery workshop they are running sounds amazing.

Spent a lovely day walking around my neighbouthood of ‘Baggotonia’ with my pal Emily. She wrote a lovely piece here about her 5 minutes with Patrick Kavanagh.

If you are a fan of nautical chic why not check out this cool exhibition Riveria Style by Amber Jane Butchart in The Fashion & Textile Museum in London from 22nd of May. Anchors away!
