Style on the Square

That wintry chill is in the air, a touch of Jack Frost is adding a little glitter in the early morning and flamboyant wreaths are hung on the colourfully painted doors of Merrion Square. Yes, it’s time for Christmas on The Square an annual event (now in its 6th year) which hosts a whole range of fun Christmassy activities tomorrow – Saturday, 25th November. There’s a Craft Fair in Number 45 (AKA the Irish Architectural Archive) where you’ll find beautiful Irish design and crafts which make perfect gifts and in particular my friend Heather Finn Knitwear who will be showcasing her beautifully designed cashmere knits, scarves and mini-me sweaters. There is a wreath making workshop with Sam Tolentino and warming treats at the wildly popular pop up cafe Luncheonette in Number 8 (the RIAI). AND I am giving a special Lost Fashion History of Merrion Square Tour  starting from the Irish Architectural Archive at 3pm, it’s free, its  approximately 1.5 hours and you need to register if you’d like to join here.

Come find out some hidden fashion history gems from the square with me tomorrow, it’s to be a cold beauty of a day so I’ve popped up some style inspo from Oscar above – wrap up in in your finest velvet and fur!
